Laws and Rules
Century Code (Laws) and Administrative Code (Rules) are developed by state government to ensure that educational standards are in place for practitioners. These laws and rules help to ensure that the public (those receiving our services) are protected from unlawful and unethical practices. These laws provide guidance to practitioners to ensure that they are working within their scope of practice and within their code of ethics.
The North Dakota State Board of Examiners on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology was developed in 1983.
Board members are appointed by the Governor. Board members serve one term (3 years) and are allowed to serve no more than 2 consecutive terms.
