To initially qualify as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of North Dakota, the following requirements as indicated in the ND Century Code Chapter 43-37-04 (a) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an educational institution recognized by the Board and (b) a passing score on a national exam (Praxis Exam).
To maintain licensure in the State of North Dakota as a Speech-Language Pathologist, one must successfully obtain ten (10) clock hours of continuing education yearly that directly relate to Speech-Language Pathology.
To initially qualify as a licensed Audiologist in the State of North Dakota, the following requirements as indicated in the ND Century Code Chapter 43-37-04: (a) Doctorate degree in Audiology from an educational institution recognized by the Board and (b) a passing score on a national exam (the Praxis exam).
To maintain licensure in the State of North Dakota as an Audiologist, one must successfully obtain ten (10) clock hours of continuing education yearly that directly relate to Audiology.
To initially qualify as a Speech-Language Pathologist Licensed Assistant (SLPLA) in the State of North Dakota, the applicant shall possess at least a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders as indicated in Chapter 43-37-04 of the ND Century Code. In addition, 11-02-01-08 of the ND Administrative Rules indicates that the individual must meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders as approved by the board that includes a minimum of six semester credit-hours in disordered communication, a minimum of three semester credit-hours in clinical techniques, and successful completion of an internship requiring a minimum of 100 hours of clinical experience overseen by a supervising speech-language pathologist.
To maintain licensure in the State of North Dakota as a Speech-Language Pathologist Licensed Assistant, one must successfully obtain ten (10) clock hours of continuing education yearly that directly relate to Speech-Language Pathology.
